Fred James Bowen, Jr., 75 of Kernersville, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at his home.
Born July 23, 1950, in Forsyth County, he was a son of the late Fred James Bowen and the late Margaret Myers Bowen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shane Wilson.
Fred was a retired Erosion Control Inspector for the City of Winston-Salem.
He is survived by his wife, "the love of his life", Tommie Jones Bowen; son Jason Bowen of Winston-Salem; and granddaughter, Cambria Bowen; brother-in-laws, Jerry (Betty) Jones, Mike (Peggy) Jones; nephew, Matt (Stephanie) Jones, niece, Brooke (Joshua) Stegenga; great nephews, Colin, Ezra, Eli, Ellis, and Ever; great nieces, Claire and Ember.
Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Joshua Stegenga officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be private.
