Fred George Card, 82, of Wetmore, KS, made his final ride on Monday, February 16, 2026.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m., March 8, 2026, at the Ozawkie American Legion Post# 225, 10114 Old Town Trail, Ozawkie KS, 66070. Burial and Military Honors will be at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Memorials are suggested to Ozawkie American Legion Post# 225 and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.
Fred was born September 18, 1943, in Jim Falls, WI, the son of George and Erma (Noyse) Card. He served in the United States Navy. Fred was a Union # 9 Painter out of Raytown, MO. He was a member of the American Legion Post #225, Ozawkie, KS, for sixty years and helped them with them fundraising rides and rallies. Fred loved riding motorcycles and going on trips and spending time with his grandchildren.
Fred married Juanita Flores in 1971, she preceded him in 2020. He is survived by three daughters, Carla Card and Shawn, St. Joseph, MO, Annette and Dale Murphy, Agency, MO, Aundra Scroggins, St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Shianne Huninghake, Noah Hughes, Noah Callaway, Airiana Callaway, Silas Pyle; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Paisley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded by his parents; a stepfather, Charles Leider who helped raise as a teenager; two brothers, Delbert Frad and Aaron Card, Sr.; a sister, Erma Seidlitz; as well as other family members and friends.
