Fred Ciorra Obituary

Fred Ciorra, a long-time resident of Garnerville, NY, passed peacefully on March 12, 2023, at the age of 87. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary, his grateful children Paul and Anthony and daughters-in-law Justine and Patrice, and his six loving grandchildren, Alaina, Thomas, Dylan, Jake, Hannah, and Paul. He is also predeceased by his son Michael. He was a cherished brother to five sisters and two brothers.
Fred was born in Italy in 1936 and emigrated to the USA at the age of 14 in 1950 and lived on the upper east side of Manhattan with is family before later moving to the Bronx. He proudly served in the US Army for 2 years and then worked 33 years for General Motors in their plant in Tarrytown, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation, Saturday, March 18, 8 to 9:30 am at McGowen Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, in Garnerville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held after at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church, John St, in Stony Point, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. Repast will be held at Sons of Italy, Blauvelt - 46 Van Wyck Rd, Blauvelt, NY 10913.
