I had know Fred for over a half of century. We met in a book store at the bottom. Of the St. Regis Hotel. He had just been released from the Army and was coming up from his family home in Baltimore to start his new life.. What do you think he was looking at ? books and magazines of sports cars.. He secured a job with Look Magazine that week . We worked in the same office building on Madison Avenue and shared many business lunches together.. We got to know one another. Fred possessed empathy and a passion for his family and friends. We had many great times together over the 50 + years of friendship. I will miss him dearly.
