Fred Grimaldi, age 92 of Jupiter, FL passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
He was born on April 5, 1932 in Corning, NY to Thomas and Luela (Stewart) Grimaldi. Fred attended Savona Central School through 1949.
He received his 70 year pin from Corning, Inc. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Parish in Corning for 28 years and St Patrick's Parish in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. for 15 years. He also served as a basketball coach for St. Mary's school. Fred was a Sergeant in the Airforce for three years. He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan.
Fred is survived by his wife, Mary Dee Grimaldi of Jupiter FL; Brother: Nick Grimaldi (Alaska) Children: Angela (John) Hennessy of Corning, Mary Beth Grimaldi- Maxa of Portland, OR, Larry (Susan) Grimaldi of Ft. Myers, FL, Tom (Caye) Grimaldi of Corning, Peggy Randall of Ft. Myers, FL, Kathy (Tim) Mitchell of Ft. Myers, FL, Lisa (Mark) Krol of Corning; 17 grandchildren: Sean Hennessy, Brendan Hennessy, Ryan( Ginny) Hennessy, Ricky ( Jen) Maxa, Amanda Maxa, Jonathon, Grimaldi, Danielle ( Mike) Hatton, Nick Grimaldi, Devin (Molly) Grimaldi, David (Jenny) Grimaldi, Kyle Grimaldi, Christopher Grimaldi, Trevor Brown, Alex Pavlick, Corinne (Terry) Paul, Zachary Brown, Coleman Mitchell, Jeff Krol, Abby Krol, Matt (Fang Wei Hsu) Krol; 8 great-grandchildren: Giovanni Grimaldi, Hudson Maxa, Lennox Paul, Cooper Maxa, Rose Hatton, Gianna Hatton, Mila Grimaldi, Maddie Hennessy and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his precious little Molly. HIs Maltipoo puppy that was by his side everyday.
In addition to his parents, Fred was widowed by his first wife, Rachael Grimaldi. He was also predeceased by Brothers, John Grimaldi and Jim Grimaldi.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 155 State Street Corning, New York 14830. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow with Fr. Mathew Walters celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
