Beloved husband of Rose Marie nee Feit for over 69 years; Adored father of Paula (the late Steven H.) Jesser, Lori (Niki) Kees, and Karyn Lyons; Cherished grandfather of Baran (Sheila) Johansen, Erik (Stacey) Johansen, Elora (Jamie) Prescott, Evan (Katie) Johansen, Melissa (Harry) Ayre, Briana (Marc) Fisher, Trevor Lyons, and Willa Kees, and great grandfather to 17; Loving son of the late Anthony and the late Marie Kees; Caring brother of the late Anthony Kees Jr. and the late Bernard Kees; Fond uncle and friend to many.
Visitation Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4-8PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Prayers Saturday, January 3 at 9:30 AM with a procession to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr, Palatine, for a 10AM Mass. You can view a livestream of the funeral mass here. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dementia Society of America, or DePaul University in Fred's name would be appreciated. For info, 847-359-8020.
