FRED K. LAMASTER
Fred K. Lamaster, age 92, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Manna Fellowship Church, 17617 Rte. 291, Pleasant Hill, Missouri 64080. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Fred will then be laid to rest at the Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery.
Fred was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 1, 1930 to Clifford and Catherine (Donohue) Lamaster. After graduating high school, Fred honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Fred continued his education with the University of Illinois and Rockurst University achieving a bachelor's degree. For thirty years, Fred worked for Pepsi in Kansas City and retired as the Vice President General Manager. In life, Fred cherished his family, his church, and helping those in need. Fred enjoyed the summers traveling with his family throughout the United States, watching football, staying up to date on the news and world events.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lamaster of 67 years; parents, Clifford and Catherine Lamaster; daughter, Sheri Matthews, son in law, Kerry Matthews; son Ken Lamaster; and his five siblings.
He is survived by four of his children, Steve Lamaster, Dave Lamaster (Kim), Scott Lamaster, and Kathi Hertzog (Jim); sixteen grandchildren; and twenty three great grandchildren.
