Patty was the fourth child of seven and delighted us all with her beautiful blue eyes and golden locks. I am 4 years older and loved her so much! She was always very shy in public settings but so very smart! Her students were lucky to have her teach them. When we were younger we loved to travel as a family and would all pack into the family station wagon for many adventures - usually involving swimming in the Gulf at Galveston, Texas. She had a wonderful relationship with our mom and they would jokingly call each other "fool!" We shared a bedroom when we lived in Cheyenne-and Patty was the first one I told that my future husband had proposed to me! She deeply loved her family and attended countless sporting events to watch her grandchildren. She also treated them to many of her signature chocolate creations. Her flowers grown every year were so lovely that neighbors would stop and admire them. She was an avid caretaker of our family tree that she created on Ancestry. She loved to go through our many relatives and tell us all about them. One thing that was her trademark was her beautiful smile. Even when she was so sick she remained hopeful and continued to smile through her pain. We are comforted by knowing her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
