Glenda Hyde Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Regency Mortuary - Sun City on Feb. 17, 2026.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Glenda Mae Hyde, who left this world suddenly on January 21, 2026. Glenda was born in Van Buren, Arkansas on June 23, 1954 to Robert Mose Hyde and Lois Hyde.

Glenda is survived by her daughter Jennifer Marie, son David Brian and his twin sons. Glenda sisters- the twins, Avanna Ann, Margaret Marie and her husband Joseph, Gaileen Lou and her husband Tim, her sister in law Donna; her nieces- Cynthia, Marissa, Monica, and Kerrie; and her nephew T.J., his wife Jennifer, and their three sons.

Glenda lived a life enriched by curiosity, intelligence, and passion. A devoted lover of romance novels, she built a remarkable personal collection of more than 15,000 books. She delighted in playing UpWords and many other challenging games and puzzles, always keeping her mind sharp.

Glenda attended Cedarville School before earning her Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas. She later achieved a Master's of Science in Industrial Management from the University of Central Missouri.

Her professional life was dedicated to environmental protection and public safety. She served as a Hazmat Emergency Response expert for Los Angeles County, specializing in hazardous waste cleanup and disposal. Later, she continued her impactful work as the Environmental Programs Coordinator for both the University of Central Missouri and the City of Phoenix, Arizona.

We will remember her with love and joy - holding close the good times. A private Celebration of Life will be held at the Amberlin Arrowhead Library, 17120 N. 51st Avenue, Glendale, Arizona followed by a public brunch at 11:30 AM in the Community Hall on April 18, 2026.
