Fred A. Laue, 88, of Momence, IL died on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Arc of Bradley in Bradley, IL. He was born on June 24, 1936, in Riverdale, IL, the son of Fred and Myrtle Wilkens Laue.
He is survived by his three children; Teri and Jim Maurer of St. John, IN, Steven Laue of Lake Village, IN, and Eric Laue of Momence, IL. Also surviving are his ten grandchildren; Aaron Maurer, Ethan and Breanne Maurer, Jacob Maurer, Hannah Maurer, Alexander Laue, Nicholas Laue, Angela Burge, Mark Burge, Kristen Bingham and Cheyenne Whittington and his six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Richard Laue, and his sister: Barbara Faber.
He worked and retired as a maintenance electrician at CSL-Behring in Bradley, IL. He served in the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Momence, IL. Fred was a lifetime member of the Momence Anchor Club. Fred really enjoyed sitting at his cabin or other places around town and watching the Kankakee River flow by as he sipped on his morning coffee while reading the paper. He was also a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Private interment will take place at the Momence Cemetery, in Momence, IL.
