Fred Carroll Walton

Fred Carroll Walton, age 76, left this earth on Saturday, September 13, 2025 while surrounded by family and with a smile on his face, ready to be reunited with his sweet grandbaby, Rosalie.

Fred served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Fred was a very compassionate person that loved to help others. He loved the Lord and enjoyed spreading the message of love through Christ. He enjoyed bowling, farming, watching UT football, and spending time with his family. Fred was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Walton and Ova Madge Walton; siblings, Robbie Patricia Long, Marian Lee, Jean White; great-grandchild, Rosalie Anita Rowe.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Brooks (Douglas); son, Joseph Fred Walton (Mary Beth); grandchildren, Aden Brooks, Melody Rowe (Dallas), and Curtis Walton (Lacoya); great-grandchildren, Issabella and William Rowe; siblings, Helen Greer (Bud), Valice Green, Linda Schlosser (John), Wanda Walton, Kathy Eidson, Mary Ann Davis, Tammy Overbey (Bobby), Tony Walton (Crystal), and Randy Walton; special friends, Steve and Trina Cloyd; several nieces and nephews; his constant little furry buddies, Arlo and Cherry.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Smokey Mountain Hospice especially his nurses, Meghan, Allie, and Holly for all the wonderful care they provided.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 5-7pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will begin at 7pm. Per Fred's request, there will be no formal burial. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.christiansells.com
