Freda Yvette Bohannon, known to her family as Yvette was born July 17, 1957, in Orlando, Florida to John and Sarah Bohannon. Yvette passed away on April 24, 2025, with her family by her side. Yvette's family is at peace knowing she was a firm believer is Christ and met with open arms by her Lord and Savior. Yvette was a graduate of Colonial High School and Valencia College. For 40 plus years, Yvette was a claims adjuster working in the Orlando area. Later in her career she was an adjustor for workman’s comp specializing in catastrophic events. Yvette worked tirelessly ensuring her claimants received the benefits they needed for their new realities. Yvette loved to travel and had many magnificent adventures, she loved being in the mountains or abroad in Ireland, Paris, and Italy. If she was not traveling, she could be found living her best homebody life curled up reading a good book. Yvette was a booklover to her core. Some of her favorite genres were fantasy, mystery, and romance.
Yvette is preceded in death by her parents John and Sarah Bohannon. She is survived by her sisters Yvonne (Ragen) Galladay and Fonda (Steven) Brown. Her two nephews, Brian (Nicole) Paradiso and Alex Paradiso; niece Jennifer (Tyler) Pontes; two grandnephews Graham and Cash Pontes that she adored. Yvette also leaves behind two fur babies, Joe and Sam that will miss her greatly.
A memorial service will be held in Yvette’s honor on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11am at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home with reception to follow.
The Bohannon family would like to express our appreciation for MSICU AdventHealth Dr. Toft and Dr. Coe. A simple thank you is not enough for Dr. Samih “Dr. Sam” Khauli who always provided Yvette and family with constant support and kindness and will always be our hero.
Yvette will be missed by her family for more reasons than words can express but we will miss most her kindness and generosity.
