Of East Pittsburgh, age 107, died peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025.
She was born January 30, 1918, on the Northside of Pittsburgh. Freda was the daughter of the late Stanley and Frances (Ivick) Brivec. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Pribanic, Jr. for 58 years.
Freda was the loving and precious mother of Carol (late Richard) Kerfoot of Wilkins Township; Donna Pribanic of Wilkins Township and Fran (Pat) Fulkerson of Monroeville. She was the treasured grandmother of Christy (Jeff) Raynor; Ken (Catherine) Fulkerson, Derek (Natalie) Kerfoot, Lesley (Tylar) Hawkins. Freda was also pleased to be the great grandmother of Jeffrey Thomas, Jordan, Chaely, Luke, Holly, Mary Raynor; Ainsley Lucci; Emiliana and Alessandra Fulkerson; Kendall and Reagan Hawkins.
Freda was preceded in death by her sisters; Rose Benish, Helen Chuway and Catherine Brivec.
Freda was proud of her Croatian heritage, was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 141, and immensely enjoyed listening to Croatian music. She was devoted to her faith, her family, and Pittsburgh sports teams. Freda will be deeply missed by her family.
All are welcome on Wednesday from 2:30 to 7:00pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800.
Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maurice Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) on Thursday at 12 noon.
Freda will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
