Mrs. Freda Sears departed this life on Wednesday night, February 12, 2025 in Georgetown, Ky at the Dover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 93 years old. She was born on June 21, 1931 in Georgetown, Kentucky to the late Carrie Wilkins and Edward Alexander. She was the widower of Thomas Sears, Jr.
Mrs. Freda professed her faith in Jesus Christ at a very young age. She attended Wayman AME Church and the former Chambers Avenue Christian Church. She retired from domestic work where she spent years at Georgetown College in the Cafeteria and later worked for fourteen years as a Senior Companion. Mrs. Freda attended Ed Davis High School. She enjoyed fishing, working word puzzles, reading her Bible, talking on the phone and spending time with her friends at the Scott County Senior Citizen Center.
