Freddie Patricia Lord, 68, of Waxahachie, passed away peacefully at her home on November 6, 2024, after a courageous and inspirational battle with COPD and a Brain Tumor. Born November 28, 1955 to Joe Ben Barnett and Ruby Jane Barnett in Waxahachie, TX, her path through life would take her to many memorable places, touch many lives, and leave a legacy of love and lessons. Freddie was raised in Waxahachie, TX.
Freddie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Ruby Faye Wafer of Waxahachie, TX. & Glenda Jo Surles of Italy, TX. One brother Johnny Marvin Barnett & one son Jerry Joe Gafford, and one grandchild Raven Gafford, and one great-grandchild Nicholi Watson. She leaves behind her husband, Michael Dean Lord, two sisters Minnie Howard of Tennessee, Bridgette Adamek of Waxahachie TX, one son Dudley Joe Gafford of Waxahachie, TX. & one daughter Patricia Ann Rogers and (husband David Rogers) of Palmer, TX. 7 grandchildren Lawrence Watson III, Sabrina Watson, Dudley Joe Gafford Jr., Brianna Alexander, Angel Alexander, Raven Vargas, and Eli Rogers, along with many great-grandchildren.
Freddie loved the Lord and stayed strong in her faith. Freddie was known for her spit-fire personality. She was a hard worker and took pride in keeping a clean home. Freddie enjoyed watching mystery movies, sitting outside while drinking a few beers, and visiting with family and friends.
Freddie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A visitation with the family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Highway 287 Business, Waxahachie, TX 75165. A Memorial service will also be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Waxahachie, TX 75165.
