Ronald Clinton Hundley passed away on September 26, 2025, at 9:31pm at Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on July 9, 1946, to Clinton Mansil Hundley Jr. and Florence Boyd.

Ronald served in the United States Navy and later retired from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department. He also liked to mess with locks, as a little hobby of his, and he was a proud NRA member. He loved to read, and if he got into a good book, you probably weren’t gonna get much conversation out of him till he finished it.

He lived in Waxahachie for around 40 years, and he always talked about how lucky he was to have such good neighbors. Folks around him looked out for each other, and he appreciated that more than words could say.

He was a quiet man, kept to himself most times, but if you knew him, you knew he had his ways. He wore black every single day, even if it was 102 outside and he was just mowing the yard. Long sleeves, long pants, middle of August. That was him.

His family remembers his dry humor and practicality. If something went wrong, he wasn’t one to panic, he’d just shrug and say, “Well, that’s life.” That was him, plain and simple.

Ronald is survived by his sons, Christopher Lee & partner Michael Harley, and Sean Phillips & wife Stefania; his daughter, Tina Marie; and seven grandchildren who he loved very much.

He will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
