Freddie Lee Settle

Freddie L. Settle, age 78, of Amelia, Va. Passed from this life on March 28, 2026. Freddie was born in Norfolk, Va. On May 17, 1947 and served his country honorably in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War, was a retired Captain with the Dept. of Corrections. He served as Master of the Amelia Lodge 101 in Amelia. He is preceded in death by his wife Judy McCraw Settle and his parents; Grea L. and Helen Elise Settle, his son, Roy Settle, brothers; David G. Settle, Ernest Dan Settle, Dennis Settle and Robert Settle and is survived by sons; Lonnie Miller, Buffy Ogden, and David Settle, his sister; Helen Holt, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Salem UMC on 11310 Clementown Road in Amelia on Wednesday April 1, 2026 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM with members of the Amelia Masonic Lodge conducting services at 6:30PM on Wed. Funeral services will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery 10300 Pridesville Rd. in Amelia, at__________ on ___________ with military honors. Donations maybe made to the Amelia Rescue Squad in his memory.
