Freddie Gene Warford

The man, the myth, the legend, Freddie Gene Warford, of Springdale, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 85 years young. He was born June 27, 1939, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Harvey Otto and Mildred Igene (Harlan) Warford. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tina Louise Warford, brother Jimmy Warford and sister-in-law Shirley Warford.
Freddie's reputation in antique cars and hot rods is known far and wide. He was the long-time president of the local antique car club. He was the former co-owner of Ivey Motor Company in Fayetteville, and then the owner and operator of Warford Auto Sales in Springdale from 1978 until his passing. As famous as he was for his antique cars, he was infamous for riding his motorcycle down the halls of Fayetteville High School.
The only thing Freddie loved more than cars was his family. He was an excellent and permanent figure in his family's life. No matter how busy he may have been with work, he never missed a family camping trip, or one of his daughter's sporting events. He was always there to cheer them on. He was loved by all who knew him and his presence and stories will be missed.
Freddie is survived by his wife of 64 years Linda Louise Warford; daughters Lisa Henderson & Richie, and Teresa Warford-Lawson; grandchildren Haley Bettcher & Nathaniel, Garrett Lawson, and Holiday Henderson; great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Elijah Bettcher; brother Jimmy Don Warford & Doris; and many other special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 10, at 10:00 A.M. at Moore's Chapel, with burial to follow at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
