CAMDEN, NY – Frederick J. Allen, 80, of Camden, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Rome Memorial Hospital in Rome, NY. He was born on April 13, 1945, in Syracuse, NY; to the late Martin and Sarah (Hamilton) Allen.
On November 6, 1965, Fred married Kathleen Waterman Allen, and they lived in the Camden area since the 1970s.
He is predeceased by his wife, Kathleen; a son, Matthew J. Allen; and his siblings, Martin, Sally Ann, William and Ruby.
Fred is survived by his three children, a daughter, Sarah (Jason) Fosdick and two sons, Paul (Penny) Allen and Frederick Allen, Jr. (Bobbie Britton), 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Allen, along with his cat, Doofus.
Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours from 4 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. Graveside Services will be at a time to be announced in the Spring. Burial will be in McConnellsville Cemetery.
