FREDERICK M. "FRED" BRUCE

1932 - 2026

BRUCE, Frederick M. "Fred" Of Quincy, MA, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was 94 years old. Born in Chelsea, Fred was the beloved son of the late Robert H. and Ruth V. (Harris) Bruce. He spent many years in the hospitality industry as a waiter, bartender and chauffeur. He was especially proud of his time working at the Copley Plaza Hotel. Fred's greatest passion was singing. He could often be found at a piano bar, joyfully belting out his favorite songs, surrounded by family and friends who cherished sharing in his love of music and life. He was the loving brother of Carolyn Gill, Malcolm R. Bruce, Martha E. Green, Robert H. Bruce, Jr., and Ruth Ethel Sullivan. He will be fondly remembered and deeply loved by his family. Affectionately known as "Uncle Fred" to his many nieces and nephews. Fred will forever be remembered as "Forever 39." Frederick's Funeral arrangements are private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Carafa Family Funeral Home, in Chelsea.
