Frederick Joseph Edvalson

Frederick Joseph Edvalson, 76, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 17, 1949, in Sacramento, CA to Joseph and Anna Edvalson, Frederick was the oldest of 7 children and lived a life of faith, service, and devotion to those he loved. A proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he carried his beliefs with strength and humility throughout his life.

At just 19 years old, Frederick enlisted in the United States Navy, where he honorably served his country from 1968 until 1988. His two decades of service left an enduring legacy of courage, discipline, and patriotism.

Frederick's greatest joy came from his family. He shared a lifelong partnership with his beloved wife, Dianna, who stood faithfully by his side. He was a proud father to his daughter Kamri and stepfather to Dana, Joe, Jill and Jerreme. A loving grandfather to 14 grandkids: Taylor, Tanner, Jacob, Sophie, Logan, Lane, Tyler, Talon, Izzy, Dylan, Skyler, Savannah, Jett, and Zoe. A cherished great-grandfather to 11 great-grandkids: Legend, Maverick, Maddox, Benton, Jaxon, Brooks, Memphis, Jace, Briella, Jenny Lynn, and Aaron. His wisdom, humor, and unconditional love will live on through them.

Frederick will be remembered for his dedication to faith, his service to his country, and his deep devotion to his family. His memory will remain a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew him.
