Frederick (Fred, Freddie, Pappy) Lee Galloway, 82, of Morgantown, WV, passed away on August 28, 2022, at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born August 12, 1940, in Morgantown, WV, son of Carlus Gordon and Frances (Pancoast) Galloway.
Fred graduated from University High School in 1958. Following high school, he served in the Marines from 1959 to 1963. Fred worked 40 years at Allegheny Power as a Substation Lead Electrician.
Fred enjoyed puzzles, blue grass music and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons William "Bill" Galloway of Verona, VA, and his wife Dawn, his children Heather, Sean, Will (daughter Cecilia) and Brooke; David Galloway and his wife Tammy, their children Adam (children Eli, Charlotte and Wade); Hannah (husband Tyler and daughter Quinn) and Eric (with whom he shared a birthday); daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Smith and husband Sam, their children Lance Wallman, Drew Wallman (wife Emily and children Laila, Iva, Ella and Cora) and Sam Smith, (wife Janie and children Emma and Jackson). He is also survived by his sister, Carol Hungate.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in his death by his wife, Carolyn of 55 years, and his sister Delphia Ann Adams.
Fred's life will be honored with a private entombment, full military service and a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Canyon Community Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, c/o Mary Gribko, 18 Whipkey Lane, Morgantown, WV 26508.
