July 2, 1937 – October 10, 2025
Frederick H.B. Healy, age 88, of Webster, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Oasis at Dodge Park. Frederick was born July 2, 1937, in Webster, the son of the late Maurice and the late Margaret (Berger) Healy.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Nancy (DiDonato) Healy; one daughter, Christina Lehman and her husband Donald of Hopkinton; and one son, Chad Healy of Sutton. He also leaves behind two brothers, Maurice Healy, Daniel Healy both of Dudley. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Blid of Dudley.
Fred was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren: D. Jacob, Samuel, Caroline, Grace, Aria, Aiza, and Austin, as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Fred graduated from St. Louis High School and served honorably in the Army National Guard for six years. He worked hard throughout his life, beginning as a surveyor traveling to job sites on his Vesper scooter. He later founded the Dudley Fence Company and went on to co-found Citadel Company with his wife Nancy, where he worked as property manager for many years. Fred was known for his strong work ethic and his love for family. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren, attending every football, baseball, soccer game and recital he could. He loved family time at the lake and boating on the water.
Fred enjoyed the rhythm of New England life-spending summers on Cape Cod or in Boston, escaping to Florida in the winters, and traveling across the United States and Europe. Fred had a lifelong affection for his red vehicles, from his red Mustang to his red Foose truck, and was often seen around town in his red Jeep during his fence company days
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 10:00 AM at St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster, MA. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley.Calling hours will be Friday, October 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley, MA.
