Frederick Edward Hill, a resident of Fuller Village in Milton, and formerly of Dedham, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston. He was 81.

Frederick was born September 23, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Edward W. and Mary Uta (Haight) Hill, immigrants from Nova Scotia, Canada. He earned his associates degree from Wentworth Institute in Boston and worked as a civil engineer for the former Jackson Construction Company on projects that included many of the downtown Boston hospital, the New England Aquarium, and the addition to the Museum of Fine Arts. Frederick loved Cape Cod and swimming in the ocean. He also enjoyed collection stamps and coins.

Frederick is survived by his wife, Florence Mary (Madden) Hill; his son, Andrew Hill of Stoughton; his daughter, Pamela Ann Kelly, and her husband Edward, of Canton; and his five grandchildren, Emily, and Abigail Hill, and Siobhan, Devin and Eamon Kelly. He was the brother of the late Wilfred Hill, Lucy Saad, and Julia A. Yeatman.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 13th from 4 to 7 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday, January 14th at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 would be appreciated.
