Frederick LeRoy Klein, age 76 of Cannon Falls, died at his home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
Fred was born on October 13, 1948 in Lake City, the first child to LeRoy and Frances (Kehren) Klein. He graduated from Goodhue High School, Class of "67"! He served with the US Army, returning to work at a variety of jobs. He married, had two children, and later divorced.
He married Patti Robinson in 1982, and following retirement, he moved up north and worked a lot of odd jobs. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, cooking, and spending time shooting the breeze!
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patti; daughter, Tammy (Richard) Heimberg; son, Tracy (Sara); grandchildren, Codey Lexvold (Christine), Tyler Lexvold (Brittany), Samantha (Tyler) Hawk, Christina (Nick) Brossoit, Matthew Kuznicki (Jacey), Autumn Klein, and Josh Shaw; great-grandchildren, LeRoy, Amelia, Honoria, Clifford, Charles, and Lane; sisters, JoAnn Schwab (Tom), Jule Majerus, Ethel Klein, and Joy Stark; brothers, Dale (Vikki), Lee (Denise), and Perry; sister-in-law, Sandi Robinson (Tim); brother-in-law, Kevin (Wendy) Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Irving and JoAnn Robinson; and brother-in-law, Dick Majerus.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 25 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls. A short prayer service will be at 4:30 pm, with the Bellechester American Legion Post #598 honors to follow. This service will be live-streamed and available to watch below.
