Robin Gail Charnell, age 62 of Randolph, died on Thursday evening, February 26, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Hospitals - Methodist Campus in Rochester.
Robin was born on May 9, 1963 in Northfield, the daughter of Arnold "Red" and Myrtle (Perry) Ziemer. She grew up in Randolph, attended Randolph High School, and loved spending more time with her horse than school. She married Jeff Holm and they had two children together. After Jeff's unexpected death, she later married Richard "Pete" Charnell.
Robin and Pete enjoyed concerts, sporting events, and traveling. She loved her flowers and her time in the garden. She would decorate her home for the different seasons, and lighting up her house with Christmas lights was her favorite thing to do! Being at home with her dogs, Mercedes, Tilly, Dakota, and Kimber brought her great joy, along with cooking and baking for her family. She had a great sense of humor and could be outspoken, but she was the family rock when it came to help or advice. Her family was very important to her, and she so loved her grandchildren!
She is survived by her son, Joshua (Leah) Holm of Randolph; daughter, Jessica (Dustin) Woodruffe of Douglasville, Georgia; granddaughter, Jaycie Woodruffe; grandsons, Jeffery and Brycen Holm and Dylan Woodruffe; siblings, Bonnie (Tony) Lindemuth, Chuck (Sue) Ekstrom, Rick (Annette) Ekstrom, and Paul (Sheila) Ekstrom; and many other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two stillborn babies, Shawn and Shandy; and brother, Daniel "Danny" Ziemer.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 3 from 5-8 pm, with a brief service at 6 pm, at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
She will be laid to rest by her first husband, Jeff at Lakeside Cemetery, Randolph. Active casket bearers will be Josh Holm, Jessica Woodruffe, Leah Holm, Brycen Holm, Jeffery Holm, and Abel Castillo. Honorary casket bearer will be Dylan Woodruffe.
