Frederick G. Leaske, age 88, of Holland MI, passed away in his home Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Fred was a loving husband, father, and great/grandfather and will be truly missed.

He met his wife, Charlotte Wierda, at Hope College, and were married for 67 years. They shared a love for world travel, cycling, cross-country skiing, boating, and other outdoor activities. They especially enjoyed theater and the symphony orchestra.

As an educator, he served as a counselor, school psychologist and Superintendent for Ottawa Area Intermediate School District. Fred had a deep passion for helping the underserved.

Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Hubbell, just a week earlier.

He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation and reception will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Hope Church, 77 W 11th St., Holland, MI 49423.

There will be a family private committal service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leaske Family Scholarship at Hope College.

Arrangements are by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home and condolences may be left online at www.langelandsterenberg.com.
