Frederick Lessig Obituary
Frederick "Fred" Lessig, 77, lifelong resident of Tolland, died peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Fred was born in Manchester, CT, on October 16, 1948, son of the late Edwin and Louise (Putz) Lessig. He worked many years as custodian in the Tolland school system. Fred loved being outdoors on his tractor and working in his garden.
He is survived by his sister Millie Herzog and her husband Al of Durham, nephew, Chris Herzog and his wife Janice of Middletown, nieces, Tina Peckham and her husband Tim of AZ, and Kathy Gurney of AZ, and several great-nieces and nephews. He also leaves his very dear friends, the Staves family. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Usher.
His family will receive friends for calling hours on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 9-10:30 a.m., at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd. (Rt. 83), Vernon. A prayer service will follow in the funeral home beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at South Cemetery in Tolland.
