Frederick L Morgan

Frederick L. "Fred" Morgan of Connersville, Indiana, formerly of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana, on January 16, 2026, at the age of 78. Fred was born in Mobile, Alabama on January 17, 1947. At the age of four, he was adopted by Troy Morgan and Mary Evelyn Jones Morgan.

He had served in the United States Air Force from July 1965 to October 1966. Fred was an engineer and loved to build things. He is most proud of building an addition to the home of Alabama Crimson Tide Football Coach Nick Saban. When he wasn't building things, he loved being out in the sun and near the water. You could often find him out on the water boating.

His love and memories will be cherished by his companion of 26 years, Charlene Holland; his sons, Jeremiah Morgan and Erick Morgan Johnson; and grandchildren Trinity, Kylie and Christian Morgan. He will be thought of often by a special niece, Lesley Godfrey and her daughter, Arianne; a cousin-in-law, Richard Massey; and close friends, Randy Sutton and Heather McMakan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie Jean Vaughn and her husband Leon, and a special cousin, Linda Massey.

Keeping with Fred's wishes, a graveside service will be conducted at a later date in Mississippi.
