Frederick L. Steward Iii

With deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of FREDERICK LEE STEWARD III, affectionately known as "Buddy." Buddy departed this life on June 22, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on April 20, 1965, Buddy was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, whose life touched many with his warmth and kindness.
Buddy was preceded in death by his mother Judith Steward Jones, and his father Frederick L. Steward, Jr. He is survived by his sons, Frederick L. Steward IV, and Julian Steward; grandchildren, Kiele Steward, Bishop Steward, Kyrie Steward, Cali Steward, Cy'Aire Steward, and Cy'Rese Steward; his step-mother, Bernice Steward; his siblings, Darlene Loretta Finney, Marcia Todd, Derek (Shayna) Steward, and Angela (Willard) McIntosh; aunts and uncles; and his long-time partner, Brenda Byrd.
Buddy's life will be celebrated in a memorial service held from 1:30 to 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at COOK & SON - PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, located at 1631 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43207. Friends and family are welcome to gather, share stories and pay their respects to a man whose presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Buddy's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, his children and grandchildren, and in the countless lives he touched.
