"The Master Tinkerer"

Frederick "Freddie" Glenn Young, son of the late Leonard and Rose (Beauchart) Young, passed away at home surrounded by his wife and children on May 15, 2025. He was born in Erie, PA on October 16, 1955.

Fred was a 1975 graduate of North East High School. Fred was an EMT and fireman with Crescent Hose in the 1970's and 1980's which he loved. He went on to work at North East Heat & Light, North East Borough Water Department and ultimately retired as the highest-level water operator at Erie Water Works after 19 years of service. Music was also a passion of his and a guitar was always nearby.

Fred is survived by his wife, Kimberley (Deiner), of 43 years who will fondly remember renovating their Victorian dream-home together, their weekend road trips (before kids) and exploring abandoned properties for treasures. He is survived by three children: Elizabeth (Daniel) Palka and their three children (Rachelle, Scarlett and an expected child) whose favorite memory was seeing The Eagles together in 1989, Frederick Graham (Emily) Young and their two sons (Dawson and Griffin) whose favorite memory was building and racing go-karts together and lastly, Abigail Young and her two children (Bryson and Audrey) whose favorite memory was helping her dad with their home renovations. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Young and his sister, Karen (Brian) Conn, who both loved him and will miss him immensely.

No services will be held per Fred's request.

The Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com.
