Frederick Ernest Bryant Sr. age 75, died August 15, 2025 at his home in Norwich, CT.

He was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire on October 28, 1949 to Chauncey Roy Bryant and Arline Bryant. He was raised in Franklin, Connecticut along with his 4 siblings: Douglas, Russel, Sherry, and Holly. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam with Honors in the American Division, 101 Ammunition Section.

After returning from Vietnam, Frederick married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart Kathleen A. McGuire and had two boys Frederick E. Bryant Jr., and Shawn D. Bryant.

He worked as a truck driver for the Dahl Oil company and worked his way up to manager. He worked as the general manager for Danielson Oil, and Saveway Petroleum and was a respected professional in the local oil industry.

He pursued many passions over the years. He was an avid bicyclist. He was also a karate instructor, and a talented amateur photographer. He coached his children's baseball and basketball teams. He took epic motorcycle treks all over the country with his friends, and this was the activity he enjoyed most in his retirement years. He was invested in the sports and hobbies of grandchildren. He attended their football and lacrosse games whenever he could, and catching Pokémon with them became an enduring interest.

He is survived by his two sons and their wives Jessica and Nikki, two sisters, and two grandchildren Jerel and Sebastian. He also leaves many close friends and extended family that he impacted throughout his life. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Norwich VFW on September 7th at 11am.
