Our Lord and Savior welcomed Fredrick Jack Eichenberger to his heavenly kingdom on Monday, May 8, 2023. While we are saddened at his passing, we find comfort that Fred is free of his pain and suffering. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 12, at 10:00 am at 16th and Pile Church of Christ, 1521 Pile St., Clovis, NM with Michael Harmon leading the service. Bill Martin, Jerry Ellison, Stanley Hardwick, Gary Pickrel, Bob Norris, Kenneth Jones, and Bill Myers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Fred was born on September 29, 1936, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jack and Velma Eichenberger. He attended Clovis schools, Eastern New Mexico University and Texas Tech. On October 4, 1958, he married Delores Eichenberger (Blevins). They resided in Clovis and raised two sons: Tom and Jerry.
Fred went into partnership with his father, Jack, and his brother, Mac, running Central Motors Electric, followed by Central Motors. This eventually led to another career venture with his brother, operating The Eichenberger Honda dealership. After the dealership was sold in 1981, Fred pursued a Real Estate and Broker career.
He received several awards recognizing his achievements in Real Estate; in 1986 Realtor of the year, in 1991 the "Grass Roots Award", from 1989 to 1990, he served as President of the Clovis Board of Realtors, in 2000 the Listing Side Leader award, in 2003 the One Million Dollar Sales Producer award, in 2004 the 1.7 Million Dollar Sales Producer award, in 2005 the 2 Million Dollar Sales Producer award and in 2009 the Tillie Shaw "American Spirit Award."
Fred loved working with the public and he had a witty and talkative personality. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike, and traveling in his RV. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and a huge Wildcat fan.
He is survived by his wife; Delores Eichenberger, one son; Jerry (Paddie) Eichenberger, three granddaughters; Kambri, Heather, and Ashley Eichenberger, one sister; Sissy (Bobby) Thatcher, one sister-in-law; Jeannie, one brother-in-law; Eddie Blevins (Terry), three nephews; Jamey (Grace), Ty (Terri) and Dean (Shannon), and one niece; Kris (Kendall) Hollis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son; Tom Eichenberger and one brother; Mac Eichenberger, brother-in-law; GA Blevins.
The family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude of thanks to the office staff at Wheatfields; Nellie, Gabby, and Jadyn and The Memory Care Wing (Freddy's Angels).
PRMC Hospice and Home Healthcare, Jennifer, Janeth, Moe and Alisha, your dedication, love, patience and understanding helped us through this journey with our beloved Fred.
