Fredrick Grandy Obituary
Fred was preceded in death by his parents Ruth (Teka) and Sidney James (Jim) Grandy, and his older sister LaVelle Grandy-Brown. He is remembered by his siblings: Sietska Reed, Vicki Stone, Claudia Landchild, Jim Grandy, and Juanita Grandy, and eleven nieces and nephews whom he adored. Fred graduated from Columbia River High school, and was a long-distance runner on the track team.
"Freddy" was traveling through Europe when he volunteered to support those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine by helping to clear rubble and distribute food. He was killed during a Russian drone attack that struck his apartment, ending a life of adventure and dedication to helping others.
A few days before his death Fred provided a spaghetti meal to anyone wanting to eat. So we are having a celebration of his life on Oct 4th, 2025 at Lewisville Park, Battle Ground, WA.. It is at the Knotty Pine Pavilion, starting 11:00 am. we are having a spaghetti feed and potluck. all who wish to attend are welcome.
