Freeda Gayle (Garrett) Hall passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025. Freeda was born at home on September 23, 1935 in Okemah, Oklahoma. She was raised in Okemah, graduating as valedictorian from Okemah High School in 1954. She met Jimmie J. Hall, the love of her life, at the Sisters of Mercy Nursing school dance, where she initiated their first kiss. They were married on March 9, 1957, until his passing in 2019. Together with Jimmie she raised four children in Midwest City, OK.

Freeda's intelligence, sharp and honest wit, and playful sense of humor charmed anyone who was lucky enough to cross her path. A gifted nurse for nearly 40 years, Freeda obtained her RN from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She spent her entire career at Mercy Hospital and served in a variety of roles, including the Director of Nursing and Quality Care Coordinator before retiring.

Freeda was a lover of nature, an avid gardener, and loved spending time in her yard bird-watching from her breakfast table, often while sneaking bacon to one of her beloved dogs. Her greatest devotion was to her family. For more than 40 years she and Jimmie hosted family gatherings or spent weekends hosting their children and grandchildren at the "Hall Hideaway" at Lake Texoma, a cabin Jimmie designed and built with the family. There the grandkids could count on her for "Nana pats," tight hugs, and biscuits and gravy. She leaves a legacy of hospitality and generosity.

Freeda is preceded in death by her husband (Jimmie J. Hall), parents (Cleo and Ida Garrett), twin brother (Foster Garrett), daughter (Wanda Carter), and Daughter-In-Law (Darla Hall). She is survived by children: Mark Hall, Sheri Lucas (Glynn), and Bryan Hall (Robin); grandchildren: Katie, Lindsey, Nathan, Whitney, Tanner, Hunter, Karlee, Kendall, Robby, and Cody; and great-grandchildren: Shaefer, Jack, Miles, Palmer, Arden, Cecilia, Jensen, Samuel, Sloane, Kaleb, Kolton, Harper, and Margot; sister and niece: Barbara Attebery and Keri Taylor.
