Jerry Ray Jones

Jerry Ray Jones passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the age of 67. Jerry was born in Hawthorne, California, to Carroll and Wanda Lee Jones on October 19, 1957.

Jerry is preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Kaye Jones, his parents, and his many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jones, and his two children: his son, Jeremy Jones, and his wife, Kayla, along with their three daughters, Gemma, Mary, and Lucy; and his daughter, Christy Peebles, and her husband, Joel, and their daughter, Noelle. Jerry is also survived by his brother, Carroll David Jones Jr., and his wife, Tonna, and their children, Jennifer, Amber Jill, and Jon; his sister, Vonda Kaye Rodriquez and her daughter, River; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University, Jerry enjoyed a 30-year career as an electrical engineer for OG&E, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise.

Outside of work, Jerry lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting with the Stoup Brothers, playing tennis with friends, especially Sunday tennis with his daughter. He was a skilled welder, only second to his brother, and loved creating thoughtful gifts for others, including custom smokers and fire pits. Jerry also found great joy in gardening and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses who took care of Jerry throughout the years for their compassionate care and support.
