Freida Pounders Fiveash

Freida Pounders Fiveash, 89, a resident of Olive Branch, passed away on October 13, 2025. She was born in Tate County Mississippi and lived her entire life in Tate and Desoto Counties. She spent her life raising her four children and grandchildren as well as working outside the home in many job titles. She was a member of Goodman Oaks Church of Christ in Southaven. She is survived by her husband, James Clayton Fiveash (JC), 2 daughters, Lynn Booth (Ralph) and Peggy Bennett (Don) all of Hernando, 1 stepdaughter, Tammy Warren of Southaven, sister, Pat Jones (Jerry) of Olive Branch, brother, Minor Jones (Janice) of Senatobia, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that all loved her and will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Murphy and Virginia Jones, her husband, David Paul Pounders, her two sons, Johnny and Robert Pounders and her brother, Louis Jones. Visiting hours will take place at Hernando Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 11:00 am until services at 12:00. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater.
