Frieda A. Blankenship, 75 of Milton, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 22.
2025, at Charleston Area Medical Center surrounded by family after a short illness. Today we remember a beautiful soul, Frieda, who left this world on her Birthday- a day that will forever hold both sorrow and gratitude. She was a light to everyone she met, always friendly, welcoming, and quick to make others feel at home. As a Nana, she was nothing short of amazing, pouring endless love and joy into her grandchildren's lives and cherishing every moment with them. She found happiness in the simple things, especially tending to her garden and decorating for every holiday with excitement and care. Her loyal dog, Dusty, adored her more than anything and was always by her side. Though our hearts are broken, her warmth, her spirit, and her love will continue to bloom in all of us, just like the
flowers she so lovingly grew. Frieda was born on October 22, 1950, a daughter of the late Jimmie and Ruby
(Payne) England. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Tommy A. Blankenship Sr.; sisters, Sharon England Dotson and Brenda England Daughtery; one brother, Burb England and special nephew Ronnie
England. She is survived by her son, Tommy A. Blankenship Jr. of Bastian, VA; daughter Felicia (Duane) Talley of Hurricane, WV. Grandchildren: Thomas (Brooke), Hannah, Brady, Lindsay, Lucas, Justin (Brianna), and Lauren (Timmy). Great
grandchildren: Noah, Arely, Evelynn and Blakely. She is also survived by her siblings Teddy (Donna) England, Barbara Estep, Christine Lester, Tex (Pam) England, Sherry (Jeff) Brown and many special
nieces, nephews and in-laws. Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 1 to 2 pm at Hanover Missionary Baptist Church in Hanover, WV and service at 2 PM with
Teddy Morgan and Gary Justice officiating.
