Rendell "Fuzzy" Miller, age 75, of Menominee, passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, August 5, 2025. He was born on May 5, 1950, to the late Benjamin and Anna June (Tebeau) Miller. On November 9, 1990, he married the love of his life, Carolyn.
A proud Menominee activist, Fuzzy was a dedicated member of the Menominee Warrior Society and stood in solidarity with his brothers of the American Indian Movement (A.I.M.), including at pivotal moments in Gresham and Wounded Knee. His commitment to justice and the sovereignty of Indigenous people was unwavering.
Known for his sharp wit and natural charm (some might say he was a bit of a bullshitter), Fuzzy had an unforgettable sense of humor that made him the life of every gathering. Whether it was fishing, hunting, or simply being outside, he found joy in the great outdoors and the land he loved. For many years Fuzzy worked as a carpenter.
Family and friends meant the world to Fuzzy. He cherished time spent with those closest to him and made the most of every moment shared together. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren, all who brought him immense joy.
Fuzzy is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; his children: Kato (Shaleesa), Napota (Tiffany), Winona, Rhonda, Julia, and Rendell; and his siblings: Diana, Dusty, Brenda, Kevine, and Dave. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Norbert, Keith, and Gene.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, with words of remembrance shared by Leander Danforth at 2:00 PM.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the 7th floor at St. Vincent Hospital for their compassionate care.
