Gabriel Cantley, beloved son, father, brother, nephew, uncle and friend, passed away on
October 30, 2025, just shy of his 41st birthday. Born on November 7, 1984, Gabriel was the
cherished child of Marion Kordel and Ledger Cantley.
Gabriel graduated from Bonanza High School, where his natural curiosity and love for life shone
brightly. He built a career as a dedicated purchasing agent at LC Electric, where his friendly spirit
left a lasting impression.
Gabe, as he was affectionately known, had a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace and
joy in fishing, camping, hiking, and spending time at the lake. A true enthusiast of fast cars and
all things electronic, Gabriel was always eager to share his latest discovery or gadget with those
around him.
Sports played a special role in Gabe’s life. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the
Dallas Mavericks, rarely missing a game. He loved playing basketball and dodge ball, enjoyed
shooting pool, and could often be found at the shooting range perfecting his aim. Gabe also
cherished moments spent gazing at the sky, pondering life’s mysteries, and philosophizing about
the world above.
Known for his impeccable style, Gabe took pride in looking clean and well dressed. But above
all, he will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to give to others, even when
he had little to give himself. His kindness and selflessness touched countless lives.
Gabriel’s greatest joys were his children, Shiann Cantley and Maxwell Cantley, who will forever
hold his memory close in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barbara and Willie Gonska, and his
paternal grandparents, Marie Warner and Ledger Cantley.
Gabriel is survived by his loving parents, Marion and Ledger P. Cantley; his children; Shainn
Cantley and Maxwell Cantley, his brothers; Ledger Cantley III (Rachell), Christopher Cantley
(Jennifer), and Daniel Cantley (Anna); his sister, Stephanie Cantley; as well as a host of aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Gabriel Cantley’s spirit, laughter, generosity, and passion for life will be remembered and
treasured by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of
the great outdoors he so adored and the boundless sky he loved to contemplate.
