Our beloved Bobby (Robert Howard Dougherty, Jr.,) 64, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, with his devoted wife of 36 years, Priscilla, by his side. Bobby was born in Alconbury, Hunts, England, to Doreen Dougherty Martinez, and he has been a proud native of Las Vegas, Nevada, since he was 6 months old.

Bobby married Priscilla on February 15, 1989, at Little Chapel of the West, Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared countless memories of activities they liked to do together, like Super Summer Theatre, cutting down Christmas trees and watching New Year’s Fireworks. This included a trip in May to see his favorite baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, win a thrilling extra-inning game – a prelude to the exciting World Series title the Dodgers would eventually win.

Bobby was a fiercely dedicated and loyal member of this family. He often took his young children to his Softball games while he played. He never missed a family get-together to celebrate birthdays at Macayo’s, Dona Maria’s, and the Olive Garden, and Mimi’s or holidays such as Thanksgiving where he would sit at the head of table after carving the turkey and the 4th of July when he would man the grill to cook hot dogs and hamburgers ahead of setting off fireworks at his mother’s house. During these occasions, Bobby would often become the center of attention due to his clever humor and keen observations about various topics.

Bobby was always involved in sports as a participant and as a dedicated fan. He started playing Little League baseball when he was six. At age eleven, he played on the Twins team, a Little League 1972 and 1973 League winning team. He continued playing in high school. Bobby would then play softball throughout the rest of his life, at times with his sons and son-in-law. Football playing? Bobby played football for Bonanza High School. Bobby’s fandom mostly centered on professional sports teams from Los Angeles. Along with cheering for the Dodgers, he rooted for the LA Rams, Lakers and Kings. Additionally, there was not a bigger fan of UNLV sports than Bobby. He has been a season-ticket holder for the Runnin’ Rebels basketball team for many years and, if you looked closely enough, you could often see him and his son on TV cheering them on courtside. Bobby’s love for sports carried over to fantasy baseball and fantasy football, for which he developed his “revolutionary” drafting strategy deemed “BobbyMetrics.” It’s fitting that he won last year’s championship.

Bobby graduated from Bonanza High School and joined the Navy soon after graduation.

He liked to read History books, especially about Las Vegas. He also enjoyed reading the local newspaper. As a young boy, he had a morning newspaper route he delivered on his bike.

Bobby also took immense pride in his work. He was the Mail Room and Printing Press Supervisor for the Riviera Hotel/Casino, until closing, where he was viewed with great respect. Most recently, Bobby worked as a commercial printing press operator for Las Vegas Color.

Remaining to remember and cherish Bobby are his wife, Priscilla; children, Jeremiah, Lisa, and Robby; grandchildren, Bodhi, Anabelle, and Chloe; mother, Doreen; sisters, Elizabeth and Veronica; brothers, Stewart, Arthur, and Todd; and son-in-law, Larson.

Visitation will be held November 11, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Bunker’s Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on the same day and location. Interment will be held that day at 2:00 PM at Bunker’s Memory Gardens.
