Gabriel McKerrow George
Gabriel McKerrow George was born December 15, 2016, in Racine, WI to loving parents Ashley and Cedale George. He lived in Avalon, WI, with his parents and three younger siblings. He was 8 years old when he passed away suddenly on March 6, 2025.
Gabriel was affectionately known as ‘Chicken’ (because his ultrasound resembled a waving chicken wing), ‘Baby G,’ or simply ‘GG’ by those who loved him. A bright, curious first-grader, he enjoyed being homeschooled and had a natural love for learning.
Gabriel's infectious smile and energetic spirit touched everyone around him. He loved Bible shows and songs, taking photos, cooking, and helping his family. He enjoyed playing with blocks, balls, Hot Wheels cars, and video games with his siblings. He also liked writing and drawing, but his greatest joy came from playing outside, running with his family and three dogs.
Gabriel was an amazing big brother to his younger brothers and sister. He watched over them with gentle care and protection, like a little shepherd. He created so many treasured memories with his parents, as they saw him accomplish many firsts, like creating snow angels, brushing his hair, loading the dishwasher and reciting his mother's phone number—all remarkable achievements from their young son who overcame many challenges.
Gabriel is survived by his devoted parents, Ashley and Cedale George; siblings Uriel (6), Loreleigh (4), and Zekkiel (2); grandparents Vera Jenkins and Abe (JoAnn) George; aunts Corrine George and Shaneka George and uncles Nathaniel ‘Nate’ George, Will McKerrow and Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ McKerrow, US Navy.
Also surviving are great-aunts April Jenkins, Cheryle Jenkins, Vanessa Jenkins, Gail Jorgensen, Debbie Volkmer, great-uncles Leslie (Deborah) Jones, Gavin McKerrow, Greg McKerrow, and Bill Volkmer. And a host of first and seconds cousins, including Aviance, Vyshari, Vybrance, Zacharyi, Zyion, ‘DJ’, Juneau (Shaneya), Timothy, Starla, Adonis, Charles, Chantal, Darrell, Ronnie, Destiny, Khrissa, Tiffany, Chantel, Jasmine, Faye, Adien (mother Dawn and cousin Dresden).
Gabriel was preceded in death by grandparents Bill McKerrow and Karen ‘GiGi’ Volkmer, and great-uncles Bruce McKerrow and Brian McKerrow.
Gabriel was loved by so many. He will always be remembered as a shepherd and messenger of the Lord.
