Gabriel Melendez

Gabriel Reynaldo Melendez, born on April 8, 2000, in Big Spring, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Fort Worth. Visitation will be from 9 AM until 9 PM Sunday with a vigil service at 7 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

In 2018, Gabriel ventured to Houston to pursue his dream at the Universal Technical Institute, finding fulfillment as an employee at Sign's Manufacturing in Fort Worth for the past three years. His competitive spirit shone brightly on the football field, and he was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Gabriel's love for fast cars, motorcycles, and ATVs mirrored his adventurous soul. He took great joy in cooking and hosting family BBQs, always bringing laughter and warmth to cherished gatherings. A lover of movies, stand-up comedy, music, and dancing, Gabriel lived life to the fullest, treasuring every moment. Gabriel's journey through life was marked by passion and enthusiasm, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Gabriel is survived by his loving parents, Laura French and Hector Melendez; his devoted sisters, Andrea Melendez (Jaden Pollock) and Alyssa Melendez; his grandmother, Saturnina Maria Robles; and cherished uncles, Gary French (Jodi), Jason French (Ashley), and Jose Alfredo Melendez. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommie French and Cirilo Melendez.
