Gabrielle "Gaby Tessier" Caron

Uxbridge- Gabrielle "Gaby" (Tessier) Caron, passed away on her 72nd birthday, September 26, 2025, at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Normand C. Caron on May 26, 2021.

She is survived by 2 sons, David R. Caron and Andre J. Caron of Uxbridge; 1 grandson, Jace Caron of Millbury; siblings, Claudette Zanella and her husband Edward of Burrillville, RI, Jeannine Simek and her husband James of Uxbridge, Richard Tessier and his wife Audrey of Woonsocket, RI, Diane Tessier and her husband Yves Bureau of St. Ubald, Quebec, Canada, Linda Sutherland and her husband Stephen of Delaware, OH, Gerard Tessier and his wife Crystal of Londonderry, NH, Lionel Tessier and his wife Carla Chase of Providence, RI, Therese Owen and her husband Bobby of Harrisonville, MO, Lucien Tessier and his wife Barbara of Rotanda West ,FL, Celine Bouchard and Bill Ware of Douglas, Nicole Allard and her husband Donald of Woonsocket, RI, and John Tessier and his wife Christine of Woonsocket, RI as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other extended family. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Peter and Daniel Tessier, and her good friends Joseph and Theresa Marzini whom she cared for many years.

Mrs. Caron was born in Woonsocket, RI, on September 26, 1953, the daughter of Claude G. and Cecile G. (Goyette) Tessier and grew up in Woonsocket. She was educated at St. Claire's Catholic High School, graduating in 1972. A hardworking woman, Gaby worked for Tupperware in N. Smithfield and for Milford Manufacturing for many years as an assembler. She also worked as the head cook for the Headstart Childhood Learning Center in Woonsocket for several years before retiring and helping her husband with his business Bass Cleaning Products.

Gaby was a skilled seamstress and loved sewing and quilting, creating many beautiful pieces over the years, including wedding gowns. A great cook, she enjoyed making meals for her family, playing cards and cribbage with her sisters, and taking trips to the casino over the years with Normand. She spent many weekends camping and fishing with her family in RI and at Cape Cod. A woman of great faith, she was a longtime Parishioner of St. Mary Parish in Uxbridge.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 1st at 11 AM in St. Mary Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Slatersville, RI. Calling hours in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge will be held before Mass on Wed. Oct. 1 from 9-10:30 AM.
