A loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, teammate, co-worker, and friend. Gage proudly graduated from Dexter High School in early June 2022. He was an all-around athlete, excelling in varsity hockey and varsity golf for the Dexter Dreadnaughts. Gage had a number of interests and loved working with his hands. He was thrilled to be working hard helping to build homes in his community. Gage was an avid outdoorsman - loved nature. You could often find him either on the golf course or fishing in any body of water. He was quite the cook. His signature dish was definitely fettuccine alfredo. Music was an integral part of Gage. His tastes ran the gamut, from Waylon Jennings to Metallica and everything in between. Gage was always happy to sit in on the drums for a jam session with his brothers and friends.
Gage was once described by a coach as a "Gentle Giant." Those that knew him best would describe him as a force of nature who shined so brightly - he lit up every room he entered. He made an instant impact on those he met, was an attentive listener, always in a good mood, kind and giving. He was fiercely loyal and protective of the people he loved and had the best sense of humor.
Gage had a zest for life and looked to the future with limitless enthusiasm. Some of his plans included, trying out for Junior Hockey, attending trade school to eventually own and operate an electrical contracting business and one day coming back to coach the Dexter Dreadnaughts' high school hockey team.
Family and Faith were central tenants to Gage's life. He was unapologetically a devoted child of God and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, with profound conviction.
Gage is survived by his devoted parents, James Vincent Jr. and Cynthia Michelle Bergen Pulford; loving siblings, Joshua James (Sabina Glasier) Pulford, Jacob Vincent (Taylor Lynn) Pulford, and Cole Sinjin (Tessa Krajewski) Pulford; his dearest nephew, Roman Roberts Pulford; and his loyal Labradoodle, Lulu.
The Pulford family will be receiving guests for a visitation on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Nie Funeral Home - 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor from 3:00 - 9:00pm. A second gathering will take place on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church - 420 W. Liberty Street, Ann Arbor at 9:00am until the start of a Celebration of Life, beginning at 10:00am. Interment will take place at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan, immediately following the service.

My Deepest condolences to the Pulford family. I had the pleasure of working with Gage on a couple of building projects he helped Tim and I with. I found him to be instantly likable, funny, respectful and hard working. After the first day on the job it felt like we´d been friends forever. Rest well big guy.

Gage was a wonderful teammate and friend to Jake this past year on the hockey team. He was so fierce on the ice and we loved watching him play. He put so much heart in each game, you could tell he loved hockey. He truly was an inspiration to Jake and others. Sending our deepest thoughts and prayers to the Pulford family.

Gager......I don´t even know where to start, let alone begin to make sense of all this. All I can come up with is that someone upstairs has bigger plans for you and that huge heart of yours. Selfishly, and I know I don´t just speak for myself.....all of us want you back. I feel like the most genuine of us are taken way too early sometimes.
Broken doesn´t begin to explain what we´re feeling right now.....saying you´ll be missed is an absolute joke.....I won´t downgrade the person you are with a cliché. You´re a larger than life guy with a heart of gold. You always had a handshake and a hug that I knew you meant. Everything you did was from the most of genuine places.....the epitome of a gentle giant.....I´m so proud of you, I´m proud to have been your coach, and even prouder to call you a freind.
We´ll see each other soon, big man. Look in on us from time to time. Rest easy, brother.....we´ll see you on the other side.
