Gail R. Cone, age 71, of Cochran, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born in Eastman, Gail spent her entire life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Redford Ramage and is remembered for her dedication to both her profession and her community. A 1971 graduate of Cochran High School, she continued her education at Middle Georgia College Nursing School, becoming a Registered Nurse. In addition to her nursing career, Gail worked for 18 years at the State Bank of Cochran.
Gail was a devoted member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Rickey Cone of Cochran; her son, Adam Cone of Cochran; her granddaughter, Seabie Cone of Cochran; her mother, Abberlene Arnold of Cochran; her sister, JoAnne R. Sanders of Cochran; her brother, Wayne (Verna) Ramage of Cochran; sisters-in-law, Martha (Ken) Mills of Peachtree City and Mary Ann Jarrell of Cochran; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church Building Fund.
The family is at 225 County Club Circle, Cochran and will greet friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Gail's life was one of service and quiet strength. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
