Martha Roberson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mathis Funeral Home - Cochran on Feb. 25, 2026.
Martha Jane Roberson, age 56 passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, surrounded by her family. Her life was one of selfless devotion to others, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Joanna Stallworth (Josh) of Cochran; her sister, Debra Wester of Summerville; and her brother, Elmer Roberson (Peggy) of China Hill. She also leaves behind her beloved grand dogs-Marnie, KeiKei Stallworth, and Odette-who brought her much joy. Martha Jane cherished a great many nieces and nephews as well as countless friends who enriched her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Mac Roberson and Evelyn Heart; her sisters Edda Mae Jones (Farris), Louise Vaughn (Jr.), and Ann Roberson; and her brothers Grady Roberson (Sally) and Kenny Roberson.

Martha dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at McRae Manor and Bryant Home Health, where she found purpose in providing compassionate care to those in need. Her mission on Earth was clear: to serve others with love and kindness. She lived and breathed this calling every day, always putting the needs of others before her own.

A lover of all things purple and an admirer of frogs, Martha found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored roses-especially purple ones-and enjoyed spending time talking on the phone with loved ones. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she drew strength from Psalm 23 and 2 Corinthians 5:7.

Martha's legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering faith. She is now at peace with the Lord and reunited with the loved ones she missed so dearly. As she often said, "It's never goodbye; it's I'll see you later."

May Martha's memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
