Mrs. Charlene Gail Cross, age 85 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Rainey Hospice House.
Gail was born on July 21, 1939 in Waynesville, N.C., to the late Charles Woodard and Hilda Liner Woodard. She had a career with Delta Airlines and in legal administration. She enjoyed socializing, going in the YMCA, was an avid international traveler and enjoyed traversing the country in a motorhome. Gail was a member of Hartwell First Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Dann Cross, children, Kimberly Crow of Bryson City, N.C. and Slayden Cross (Sharon Harvey) of Potterville, GA., her sister Nan Woodard, grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis, Ava Davis, Cora Davis, Rand Cross, Flint Cross and Dark Cross.
A service celebrating the life of Gail Cross will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Two o'clock from the sanctuary of Hartwell First Methodist Church. Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate. Immediately following the service the family will hold a reception in the church fellowship hall.
Family members are at their respective homes.
Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
