Geneive "Jenny" Cross, age 53, of Amanda, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born on June 18, 1972, in Lancaster. She was a graduate of Teays Valley High School, class of 1991. Jenny was retired from Rudolph Brothers with over 30 years of service. On June 17, 1995, she married her husband David in Amanda. She was a longtime and active member of the Cedar Hill Calvary United Methodist Church, Amanda. Jenny's favorite color was purple, and she enjoyed supporting church projects and charities, crafts, playing cards and yard sales.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, David; her parents Donna and Stanley Gloyd, of Ashville; sisters, Melody Yeater, Karen Williamson, and Pauline (Buck) Ramey; brothers, Luke (Joan) Lagore, and Kevin Lagore; sisters-in-law Rene Morris and Sharon Lagore Poole; special uncle, Paul Cross; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Violet Brooks, Paul Lagore Sr., and Alta Clevenger; mother and father-in-law, Hazel and James Cross; sister, Lora Lagore; brother, Paul Lagore Jr; two nephews, Andrew Williamson and Jason Lagore.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, with Rev. Ruth Messick officiating. Interment will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
