Gail L. DeClark, 70, of Niagara, WI, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara following a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Gail was born on August 19, 1954, in Iron Mountain, MI, daughter of the late Andrew and Joyce (Olsen) Bolander. In 1972 she graduated from Kingsford High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. A lifelong resident of the area, Gail worked at the Shopko camera counter for 14 years. She was also head of the Florence County Chapter of the American Cancer Society and Golf-A-Thon for A.C.S. at the Spread Eagle Golf Course. Despite her many physical challenges, Gail still enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, and berry picking.
Gail is survived by her son, Brad (Brenda) DeClark of Kingsford; her daughter, Danielle Wagner (Kevin Stafford) of Sun Prairie; grandchildren, Preston & Logan DeClark and Blake and Trentin Wagner; a brother, Thomas (Shelby) Bolander of Iron Mountain; 2 sisters, Debra (Jeff) Bussiere of Iron River and Karen Bolander (John Schirk) of Kingsford; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Kay, and her sister, Jeanne Bolander.
Visitation will be held 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm on Friday, October 18th at the Maryhill Manor Chapel in Niagara followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. Fr. Felix Abano will officiate. Burial will be in Quinnesec Cemetery.
Gail's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to her Maryhill family for their endless love & care that they have shown Gail over the past 28 years. It was that loving care that gave her the strength to battle her MS for the many years she did.
